Krušnohorské strojírny Komořany (KSK) as one of the most important Czech machine engineering company in the power engineering branch has over 60-years experience in field of open-cast machinery and equipment. The activities of the company have roots in coal extraction business historically carried out in North-Bohemian Brown Coal Basin. Being situated in the centre of the Coal Basin, products and services of KSK have been utilized first of all by local mining companies and coal-fired power plants. Direct and permanent relationship to main customers enables the company to develop its products fully according to operational requirements.

During last 20 years KSK has been involved in projects in the field of environmental protection providing technology for waste handling and utilization, it has got experience with alternative power sources like waste-to-energy equipment, hydro-power equipment, and with manufacturing of different parts for such technology.

The level of technical know-how, qualification of personnel, quality of products, and action range of manufacturing facilities of KSK is the ground for cooperation with recognized Czech and international companies supplying and operating in open cast-mining, power generation, machine engineering, raw materials processing, transportation, and building industries.
