INCO engineering – a firm with a long tradition

Company INCO engineering was established in 1994 as a successor of ČKD Praha company in the field of mining hoists and equipment for deep mining, tradition of which dates back to the end of the 19th century. Since its inception, more than 600 mine hoists of various constructions have been delivered. In addition to supplies of mine hoists for Czech and Slovak mines, we have supplied, for example, 90 hoists to Poland, a number of hoists to Russia, countries of former Yugoslavia, Germany, and Spain.

Scope of provided services

INCO engineering provides a wide range of services from the project assignment to turnkey delivery including installation, warranty and post-warranty service, as well as supply of spare parts.

INCO engineering develops designs, produces, and delivers new mine hoists and equipment carries out reconstructions and modernizations of operated machines and equipment. INCO also provides service and maintenance including regular check-ups during the 24/7 operation either with the aid of its own staff or through the trained workers of the customer.

Innovative technology

• Electro-hydraulic brake system Frenomatic HR5K to HR11K with constant retardation of safety braking – which enables application of the same braking power in all operational situations – is one of the patents of Jan Houdek, PhD, executive director of INCO
• Electro-pneumatic brake system Sistonik PR6B and PR6K for power supply and control of shoe brakes
• Tribonik system for circulatory lubrication of the bearings
• Digitalized control panel of the machinist with visualization system, all set in an air-conditioned soundproof cabin
• Regulation of engine power (0,5 to 5 MW) with a continuous change of revolutions
• New concept of drive discs and drums (construction, material, manufacturing technology)
• Skips and skip-cages from 8 to 50 tons of a new concept – one-shell construction made of highly solid materials.

INCO supplies new machines and equipment, refurbishes and modernizes machines and equipment in operation, and supplies all spare parts. A priority of our new machines or when we carrying out modernization is the substantially increased safety of the respective elements and also of the system as a whole, e.g. a multi-way protection of electric circuits.
