Chinese Coal Output Up in February

The National Bureau of Statistics said China saw its coal output jump 20% year-on-year to 247.5 million metric tons (mt) in February this year. As per report, in the first two months of this year, the company coal output totaled 515.8 million mt up by 13.5% from the corresponding period of last year. Last month, China exported 1.76 million mt of coal up by 8.6% year-on-year. The country exports of coking coal were 24,000 mt in February, China Knowledge reported.
